  Robin Blaser was born in Denver, Colorado and was a key figure of the San Francisco Renaissance of the 50’s and 60’s. He moved to Canada in 1966 and began teaching at Simon Fraser University, where he is now Professor Emeritus. He has authored numerous poetry collections, such as Pell Mell, Cups and Syntax, all included in The Holy Forest: Collected Poems of Robin Blaser (University of California Press, 2006), which also published The Fire: Collected Essays of Robin Blaser (2006).
