August 21st: Sandbar Erosion at Sandy Beach in Quebec, the Upcoming Canada-Russia Challenge in New Brunswick, and Getting the Coronation Cup Back
1. The long thin point of Sandy Beach juts out hundreds of metres into the Bay of Gaspe. But now, too much human interference has caused the shoreline to erode, putting the habitats of birds and fish at risk. 2. The Coronation Cup is back in New Brunswick after a one-hundred-and-six year absence. 3. Saint John, New Brunswick is one of six chosen for this year's Canada-Russia Challenge. Organizers say it promises to be an exciting game and it could lead to bigger things for Saint John.
