Eureka Prizes 2008 Nicky Phillips reports on the Australian Museum´s Eureka Science Prizes awarded this week. Hagfish Hagfish are blind, like big slimy eels. They predate fish and clean up the ocean bottom. Rebecca McLeod has looked at energy flows in New Zealand´s Fiordland ecosystems and discovered that hagfish actually derive energy from forests.
