Dr Ulita Nair The first in an occasional series, where Phillip talks to people whose names aren't well known but whose life works involve a passionate commitment to the public good. This program features Dr Ulita Nair. As a young child in pre WW2 Malaya, she watched three of her siblings die from preventable illnesses. It was the motivation for her to become a doctor, and this year is her 50th year as a qualified GP, having practised medicine in some of the most challenging health environments in the world: Malaysia, rural Pakistan and remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory.
